NARDTC carries out demand-driven research to address challenges across the aquaculture value chain
These include development of genetically improved broodstock and seed, domestication of new aquaculture species, formulation and testing of feed, water quality management, fish health, value addition, farm management, and aquaculture economics. The facilities at the farm have been upgraded and now offer a good site for aquaculture research. A modern general-purpose laboratory has been put in place. Aquaculture students from local and foreign universities come here for their research.
